SAISD Night School
The San Angelo Independent School District Night School Program offers a nontraditional way to complete diploma requirements. This program will allow previous students who have dropped out of school without meeting graduation requirements to finish their final credits in a Night School setting. This program will serve participants who are seriously interested in receiving their diploma, but are unable to attend traditional day school due to work schedule, child care, age exclusion, or other similar reasons.
Night School is held from 4:30 PM until 8:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights as well as Saturday mornings from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Night School is located at Central High School in Fulton Hall, on the corner of Locust St. and Guadalupe St. off of Houston Harte.
Admission to SAISD Night School is by selection only and is intended for students who have already dropped out of school. All qualified applicants will be interviewed to determine eligibility. There is no fee to apply or complete the program. ALL applicants who have been out of school for at least ninety days or more are encouraged to apply. Applications may be downloaded by clicking the link below or may be picked up at the Central High School Counseling Center, the Lake View High School Counseling Center, or the SAISD Administration Building.

BENEFITS OF A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA
Earning your high school diploma opens up a world of opportunities, including going to college, getting a better job, and earning more money. Having a high school diploma helps you feel confident of your abilities, as well as instills a sense of pride and accomplishment. It is almost impossible to further your education without a high school diploma. Enrolling in college or entering the military is difficult without a high school diploma; even taking some sort of trade school usually requires proof of having a high school diploma.
Having a high school diploma tells everyone that you have met your state’s requirements of a quality education. It says that you are ready to progress into the college of your choice, or enter into a professional or technical world.
Most people have found that having a high school diploma earns them higher wages at their place of employment than someone doing the same job without the benefits of a high school diploma. See the following charts to compare the average incomes of someone with and without a high school diploma.
